OVERVIEW:

Step into the fascinating world of life casting and gain the expertise needed to create realistic 3D prosthetic appliances. This intensive workshop focuses on the industry’s essential materials—alginate, plaster, and silicone—and provides a safe, hands-on environment to develop your skills under the guidance of a highly trained Kryolan educator. With techniques drawn straight from the film and television industry, this course is your gateway to mastering the art of life casting.
What You’ll Learn:
• Foundations of Life Casting: Begin with a thorough understanding of anatomy, colour theory, and health and safety protocols for working with prosthetic materials. Build confidence in handling and applying these key products effectively.
• Half-Head Life Casting: Observe a live demonstration of a half-head life cast, followed by a guided group exercise to replicate the process.
• Sculpting and Application: Use your life cast to sculpt a small prosthetic piece and learn how to apply, paint, and safely remove it to meet professional industry standards.
• Material Mastery: Gain hands-on experience with alginate, plaster, and silicone, making these materials second nature in your creative process.
This workshop is designed for professionals with prior experience in prosthetic application and colouring. If you’re new to this craft, we recommend starting with our Prosthetics – Flat Mould Workshop to build foundational knowledge before advancing to life casting.

Will I receive a certificate?
Upon completing the course, you will receive an official Kryolan Certificate of completion. Please note that this certificate is not a formal make-up qualification.

What if I need to cancel?
